A custom preserved for hundreds of years, sheep milk weighing marks the first milking after their climb up the mountain. The sheep are milked and then the milk is weighed for each owner in turn to figure out how much they should get over the summer. Once the weighing is completed, shepherds and owners sit together and share a meal of traditional sheepfold dishes.
