We represent a local initiative group made up of tourism businesses, local administrations and the Cheile Nerei – Beușnița National Park Administration. Our aim is to bring sustainable development into the area by developing ecotourism activities. We work together on the development of Cheile Nerei area as an ecotourism destination.

According to our understanding, Cheile Nerei area overlaps the following administrative units:

  • Oravița;
  • Ciclova Română commune;
  • Sasca Montană commune;
  • Cărbunari commune;
  • Șopotu Nou commune;
  • Lăpușnicu Mare commune.

The local initiative group is coordinated by the Association of Ecotourism in Romania and by WWF Romania, Reșița office.
